SteelCon®is the third silicon-doped HiPIMS coating material from CemeCon and enables economical machining under the extreme conditions of hard machining with first-class surface quality. SteelCon® is highly resistant to wear. Highest temperature resistance is combined with excellent adhesion. The very homogeneous wear behavior of SteelCon® ensures high process stability. In addition to the dense layer structure, the very high silicon doping also ensures high thermal stability.Since no droplets can form thanks to the HiPIMS process,SteelCon® is also extremely smooth. The heat is dissipate din the chip, process stability increases. Excellent surface finishes are produced, eliminating the need for time-consuming reworking of components.
